Thanksgiving and Living Our Brand Promise

Thanksgiving in the US is a time for gratitude, family and reflecting on the year that is quickly coming to a close, and perhaps the year ahead. I hope that during this time, and the upcoming holidays, you can take time with your family and friends and enjoy the season. And please also remember those in your communities who are less fortunate, or those who struggle during the holidays.

I am truly thankful and grateful for all the D&Z employees and families that contribute to our success. I enjoy seeing you as I travel to the various sites, meetings and plants, and each of you are a source of inspiration to me. Thank you for all that you do for D&Z and thank you for choosing to work here.

Our world continues to change rapidly, and with wars going on, a divisive US election, and the economic pressures impacting many families, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s important. This is when it’s important to remember our shared values: Safety, Integrity, Diversity and Success. And our brand promise of: We Do What We Say.

As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, it’s a fitting moment to reflect on the deeper meaning of our brand promise: We Do What We Say. Just as Thanksgiving reminds us of the importance of gratitude, commitment, and connection, our brand promise serves as a guidepost—not only for how we serve our customers but also for how we show up for one another and our communities. Living up to this promise requires all of us to honor our commitments, follow through on our words, and lead with integrity in everything we do. It’s not just a corporate mantra; it’s a reflection of who we are and who we strive to be. By standing true to our values and keeping our commitments, we build trust, foster stronger relationships, and create a company culture that truly sets us apart.

Together, let’s continue to embody this promise every day—it’s how we’ll ensure not just our success, but our legacy. In a chaotic world, it’s this expression of our stability and unwavering commitment to accountability that will distinguish D&Z from other companies. If we follow these simple words of doing what we say, we will not only be successful, but will also provide some much needed calm and reassurance in an unsteady world.

Thanks again for choosing D&Z. Have a happy and restful Thanksgiving.
