The process, however, is not a simple one.
The National Center for Veteran Analysis and Statistics projects that 15 to 20 percent of veterans will return from duty with post-traumatic stress disorder. Females were reported as being twice as likely as males to develop the disorder. As of September 2012, New Jersey was home to 441,820 veterans, with 33,167 of them being women.
