Giving Thanks and Checking On Others

Thanksgiving in the US is typically a time to come together and enjoy family and friends, and it’s also the traditional start of the holiday season. I hope that during this time, you are able to spend time away from work, rest and recharge, and reflect on what you are thankful for.

Many of us have much to be thankful for, but that’s not the case for everyone. The holidays can also be a tough time. As we go through the next few months, please reach out to those around you – friends, colleagues, and family members – to check in on them. Make sure they have the support they need. Sometimes it’s just a kind word, and other times they may need additional help. Please remember, our Employee Assistance Program, Health Advocate, is available 24/7, 365 days a year, if you or someone in your family needs assistance.

I would also ask that you please remember those who cannot be with family or friends during the holidays. I would especially keep in mind your team members who may have family members away and serving in the military. I’m thankful for this great country of ours and the safety and security provided by our women and men in uniform. I am always proud of the work we do as a company, and the difference we are making around the world, but it takes real people, on the job every day in harm’s way, to ensure and protect our freedoms. Please keep them in mind.

I am thankful for all of you and the hard work you contribute to Day & Zimmermann every day. I know for many this has been a challenging year, and I’m thankful for our leadership who is seeing us through it, and for each of you. No matter what you do, you make a difference here, and I appreciate it.

Thanks again for everything you do for D&Z. Have an enjoyable and safe Thanksgiving.
