Day & Zimmermann's Multicultural Resource Group (MCRG) leaders Joe Majors, Manager, Yoh and Ana Cristina Peterson, VP, Project Operations Services, DZMC, organized a volunteer opportunity for members of their teams to participate in helping Crisis Assistance Ministry gather clothing and supplies for families in need in the Charlotte, NC area.
The mission of Crisis Assistance Ministry is to provide assistance and advocacy for people in financial crisis, helping them move toward self-sufficiency. The organization’s goal is to prevent homelessness and allow people to preserve their dignity. Crisis Assistance Ministry helps families experiencing poverty with life’s most basic needs: emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities, clothing, household goods, furniture, beds, and appliances provided free of charge.
On September 13th the D&Z teams brought several carloads of clothing and household items and volunteered a couple hours of their time receiving and sorting donations. A big thank you to Emily Harris, Tyler Perry, Hailey Seagle, John Reeves, Jennifer Lomax, Garrett Ingram, Chris Cesario, Brooke Cassity, Kate MacMaster, Joe Majors and Ana Peterson for their volunteer work giving back to their community!
