Day & Zimmermann Named as 2021 Recipient of EEI Prime Supplier Leadership Award

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(May 4, 2021) – Day & Zimmermann (D&Z), the century-old, family-owned provider of construction & engineering, staffing, and defense solutions for leading corporations and governments around the world, has been named as this year’s recipient of the EEI Prime Supplier Leadership Award. This award is presented annually to a prime supplier of an EEI member company who has made impressive strides in diverse supplier utilization and development.

Some of the features that helped distinguish D&Z from this competitive award pool hinged on their enterprise-wide supplier diversity initiative with a dedicated supplier diversity administrator and corporate webpage; defined diversity goals and processes; collaboration and teamwork with diverse suppliers for new projects and implementation of innovative technologies; support of local and national diversity councils; and implementation of an employee recognition program that rewards employees financially for identifying and developing diverse suppliers. 

Over the two-year nomination period, D&Z’s spend with diverse suppliers exceeded $32 million.

The award will be presented to D&Z on May 18, 2021 as part of EEI’s 37th Business Diversity Virtual Conference.
