Day & Zimmermann Employees Raise Over $156K for United Way Workplace Campaign

Employees across the U.S. Team Up to Support Community Causes

PHILADELPHIA, PA – February 6, 2017 – Day & Zimmermann (D&Z), the century-old, family-owned provider of construction & engineering, staffing and defense solutions for leading corporations and governments around the world, is pleased to announce its employees raised $156,357 for the United Way as a part of this year’s D&Z United Way Workplace Campaign. This expanded partnership is an example of D&Z’s continued commitment to the business of betterment and its desire to support the communities in which it serves.

The United Way Workplace Campaign focuses not only on raising money for a cause, but also on strengthening connections between employees and their communities. This year, D&Z employees collectively raised money to support childhood education, help families gain financial stability, improve health throughout the entire community and strengthen the safety net for some of their most vulnerable neighbors.

All divisions and units of Day & Zimmermann participated in the campaign. This year’s number of participants exceeded previous campaigns. Total giving in 2016 increased by 15 percent from 2014, when D&Z raised $133,000 for community causes across the country.
