DG21 Awarded Diego Garcia Contract Renewal
PHILADELPHIA, PA, July 18, 2006…Day & Zimmermann announced today that its joint venture, DG21, will remain as the provider of base operations services for the Navy Support Facility, Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory.
DG21 has successfully provided base operations services in Diego Garcia for more than seven years and, if all contract options are exercised, will continue to provide this support under the renewal contract for the next ten years. With more than 1700 employees devoted to the project, DG21 provides vital services to the Navy in Diego Garcia, including facilities operation, maintenance and management, engineering and construction, transportation and fleet services, communications systems, aircraft ground support equipment maintenance, food services and other infrastructure support.

The principal members of DG21 LLC include DS2, a Day & Zimmermann joint venture with Lockheed Martin, First Support Services and W.S. Atkins.
