Mason & Hanger Awarded Fort Stewart Design/Build Contract
LEXINGTON, KY, July 5, 2006 – Today Mason & Hanger, a Day & Zimmermann company and leading architectural, engineering and construction firm, announced it has been awarded a design/build contract for the vehicle maintenance facility of the Forward Support Battalion project at Fort Stewart, GA.
The more than $16 million, competitively procured, firm fixed price project involves the design and construction of a vehicle maintenance shop (48,776 SF), company operations facility (12,120 SF), oil storage building (660 SF), and a 250,000-gallon elevated water tower. Supporting facilities that will be delivered as part of this project will include sewer and storm water runoff systems, paving, walkways, parking, and site improvements. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, is the contracting activity.
